## How to play Orbit Escape

Tap Lock Orbit or the arena when the blue satellite reaches the green gate. Three ten-second phases increase its speed and narrow the timing window. You start with three shields; misses cost one. Every four consecutive successful locks restore a missing shield.

### Controls and round details

Tap the arena, press the Lock Orbit button, or use Space or Enter on a keyboard. The challenge lasts up to 30 seconds. Waiting for the satellite to approach the gate is safer than pressing repeatedly.

## Orbit Escape scoring

A good lock scores 16 plus twice the current streak, and a near-perfect one scores 26 plus twice the streak. Misses cost 5 points and one shield. The tolerance narrows from 22 to 18 to 15 degrees across three phases.

Four consecutive successful locks restore one missing shield. The gate shifts after a success; the satellite reverses after each third consecutive hit. Use the degree feedback to improve the next lock.

## Orbit Escape strategy and tips

### Orbit Escape tips

1. Tap slightly before the visual center if your device has input delay.

2. Follow the orbit rhythm instead of staring only at the gate.

3. Reset your timing after every gate move.

### Plan the next lock

The timing window starts at 22 degrees from the gate, shrinks to 18 degrees after ten seconds, and reaches 15 degrees in the last phase. A lock within six degrees earns the larger perfect score. Pressing outside the current window costs one of three shields, and the displayed miss distance tells you how far your timing was off.

The green gate relocates after a successful lock, and the satellite reverses direction after every third consecutive success. Four successes in a row restore a missing shield. Watch one full approach when the direction changes; rapid repeated presses spend shields faster than waiting for a clean pass.

## Common Orbit Escape mistakes

- **Pressing repeatedly.** Each miss costs a shield; wait for a clean pass.
- **Watching only the gate.** Follow the satellite’s rhythm as it approaches.
- **Missing the direction change.** The satellite reverses after every third success in a row.
