How to play Tap Rush
Tap moving targets to work through three hit missions of 5, 7 and 9 hits. Gold targets add 20 points; each cleared mission adds 30. The target relocates faster in later missions.
Controls and round details
Tap with a finger or mouse, or focus the target and press Space or Enter. The round lasts 30 seconds. Try to clear all three missions while maintaining a streak.
Tap Rush scoring
Each clean hit increases your streak. A regular hit earns 10 points plus a streak bonus that rises by 2 per hit, up to an extra 30. A gold target adds 20 more. For example, your third consecutive hit is worth 16 points on a regular target or 36 on a gold one.
The target moves after a hit and on a timer that speeds up with each mission. An empty-space tap costs 3 and breaks the streak. Use the mission counter to see your progress.
Tap Rush strategy and tips
Tap Rush tips
- Watch the center of the arena instead of chasing the pointer with your eyes.
- Prioritize clean hits—one miss resets the streak multiplier.
- On touchscreens, use your dominant thumb and keep the phone steady.
Plan the three missions
Mission one asks for five hits, mission two for seven and mission three for nine. The counter resets for each mission; a miss breaks your score streak but does not erase mission hits already earned. Clearing a mission grants 30 points, so finishing all three is valuable even after a mistake.
The target jumps immediately after a hit and also relocates on a timer. Later missions shorten that timer, while occasional gold targets add 20 points to the usual hit and streak value. Aim for a clean hit instead of tapping empty space repeatedly: a miss costs three points, and the target will move again if you need a new position.
Common Tap Rush mistakes
- Tapping empty space. Each miss costs 3 points and breaks your streak.
- Chasing the target with your eyes. Watch the middle of the arena and let it come into view.
- Rushing after a miss. Mission hits already earned are kept, so settle and aim.
About Tap Rush
Tap Rush is the game the arcade is named after: a pure test of reaction time and accuracy. Targets move faster with each mission, and the streak bonus rewards clean hits over fast misses.
Tap Rush: questions and answers
What makes a gold target different?
It awards 20 points on top of the normal hit and streak points. It does not require a different control.
What happens if I miss?
An empty-space tap costs 3 points and resets your hit streak. The target itself remains available until it moves.
How do I score more?
Keep your streak. Each consecutive hit is worth 2 more points, up to 30 extra, and gold targets add 20.
