How to play Focus Test

Memorize the card marked with a star. After the cards shuffle, select the moving star card to earn points and start the next round. A wrong answer replays the card path before the next round.

Controls and round details

Tap or click the card you followed after the shuffle stops. The timer lasts 40 seconds. For each swap, track only the star card’s position; swaps between two other cards do not move it.

Focus Test scoring

Watch the star card, then follow that same card through two swaps. Correct answers advance to rounds with three and then four swaps; mistakes replay the exact path. A correct choice scores 20 plus twice the capped streak; a mistake costs 8.

If you miss, the game replays that shuffle with the star revealed, then starts a new round. Watch which positions exchange places in the replay; the star belongs to the moving card, not to its original square.

Focus Test strategy and tips

Focus Test tips

  1. Anchor the target position to a corner or center reference.
  2. Ignore the question marks and follow spatial movement.
  3. Pause briefly before choosing instead of reacting to the first impression.

Track the card, not the square

The star belongs to one card. When two cards exchange positions, the marked card moves only if it is one of those two. That distinction matters in later rounds: a swap between two other cards changes the board but leaves your target where it was. Keep your attention on the card’s destination after each animation rather than its starting square.

A correct answer advances from two swaps to three, then four faster swaps. A wrong answer shows the star again and replays the same swaps before a new round. Use that replay to locate the first exchange where you lost track. Taps made while the cards are still moving are ignored, so wait for the question before choosing.

Common Focus Test mistakes

  • Watching the starting square. The star belongs to the card, not the square.
  • Following every card. Only swaps that involve your card move it.
  • Tapping during the shuffle. Taps are ignored until the question appears.

About Focus Test

Focus Test is a Tap Rush Arcade take on the classic shell game, played with cards and no tricks: the star card only moves when it is part of a swap. A miss replays the shuffle with the star shown, so you can see where you lost track.
