How to play Speed Sort

Sort circles, squares and triangles by swiping, tapping a zone or using arrow keys. Every five correct answers, the left-hand shape changes: circle, then square, then triangle. Other shapes go right.

Controls and round details

Swipe the shape left or right, tap its destination zone, or use the left and right arrow keys. The current rule is printed above the shape. Keep sorting until the 30-second clock ends.

Speed Sort scoring

Correct sorts earn 8 plus a capped streak bonus; mistakes lose 6 and reset it. The left-hand shape rotates after every five correct answers. Read the visible zone labels after each change.

Check the zone labels after every five correct sorts. One shape belongs left and the other two go right. Accurate streaks earn more points.

Speed Sort strategy and tips

Speed Sort tips

  1. Keep one finger or hand assigned to each side.
  2. Focus on the object silhouette, not its color.
  3. Build accuracy first; streak points reward clean runs.

Three rule changes in practice

At the start, circles go left and both squares and triangles go right. After five correct sorts, squares go left; after ten, triangles go left. The rule cycles again after another five. A wrong sort loses points and your streak, but it does not advance the rule or replace the current shape, so you can correct it immediately.

The zone labels show the active rule and are more dependable than remembering where the last shape went. Swipe the current shape toward a zone, tap a zone directly, or use the left and right arrow keys. When the rule changes, take a moment to read both labels before building another streak.

Common Speed Sort mistakes

  • Sorting by colour. Only the shape matters.
  • Missing the rule change. Read the zone labels after every five correct sorts.
  • Chasing speed over accuracy. A mistake costs 6 points and your streak.
